How Do I Build?

My husband and I will be celebrating our 27th wedding anniversary at the end of 2016. For the past 22 years we have been involved in ministry in the church and market place. Over the years we have juggled family life and ministry commitments all at the same time - some have succeeded and others haven't.
Our children grew up in the church. Cold wintery mornings in Canberra, being taken to church for music practise all rugged up in winter woolies, treats, colouring books and a pillow all in hand. Yes we have had our fare share of juggling acts whilst raising a family and at the same time involved in ministry and running a business.
We cannot get away from the responsibility we have to build a strong foundation in God for our marriage, family and ministry. With such busy lives, it is not hard for us to make things harder then what they really are.
At times we make things in ministry complicated and difficult to achieve. So many formula's we create for our already complicated lives. It is not easy but we have learnt alot and still continue to learn.
We have learnt alot when it comes to committing to ministry - yes there is nothing wrong in saying no. Don't feel guilty if you are unable to serve in your church community when your child suddenly is sick or attending to your family needs first and foremost, before racing off to the church to clean the toilets and vacuum the carpets.
The greatest example of life in ministry is Jesus Himself. The one attribute that had set Jesus apart from his "peers" at the time and still does today was His wisdom, discernment. and understanding - we can and should learn from His life.
"By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures." (Proverbs 24:3 NIV)
Yes, Jesus lived his life as a son, brother, teacher, healer, minister and most importantly our Saviour. The Son of God exemplified all that is good, just, merciful and wise just to name a few. Yes, we can never be perfect like Jesus, but we can learn from how He lived and carried out His Father's business as the Son of God. The wisdom and understanding Jesus used to establish His ministry is something we can and should learn from.
Pappa God, it is our prayer Minister's of Your gospel continue building their marriage, family and Body of Christ with wisdom, understanding and knowledge through the Holy Spirit in the name of Yeshuah HaMashiach (Jesus Christ) Amen and Amen.
Yours in unity and prayer Ps Yodie
